The recent one week retreat to Chinsegut Hill was an exceptional experience. Five days was the most I had ever been involved in before but the extra time really allowed me to deepen my practice. Peter's instructions led us carefully step by step and wove the event into a truly comprehensible whole. The extra time on site and my interactions with Peter allowed me to weave everything into a new fabric of understanding even when I hit a huge roadblock (hindrance). The sense of interbeing and connectivity with "all that is" on that retreat was some of the most profound of my life. Events happened while doing walking meditations on the beautiful Chinsegut Hill property that still make me shake my head in wonder. The group was a delightful mix of wonderful people who are truly dedicated "seekers." The sense of warmth and support from such a strong Sangha gave me immense comfort when I faltered even though we were almost continuously encased in noble silence.
If you haven't tried a retreat, especially a 7 day event, I highly recommend it.

I attended a wonderful Vipassana week retreat with Peter Carlson and his sweet Sangha at Chinsegut Hill in Brooksville Florida. 
Peter is a fantastic Dharma teacher with a brilliant and unique style. His loving presence, humor, wisdom and ability to care for the Sangha’s needs made this week a profound experience.  Not only did we learn a great deal from him and each other, we had fun as well.
